# Favorize Wishlist for Shopify

Adds an "Add to Wishlist" button to your product pages, so shoppers can save
your products to their own Favorize wishlists and share them with the people
who buy their gifts. The app is a theme app extension: it adds one app block
to your product template and nothing else. Theme code, cart, checkout and
customer accounts are not changed.

## Install

1. Install **Favorize Wishlist** from the Shopify App Store, or from the
   install link you received.
2. In the Shopify admin go to **Online Store → Themes** and click
   **Customize** on your current theme.
3. Use the template picker at the top to open **Products → Default product**.
4. In the **Product information** section click
**Add block → Apps → Favorize Wishlist**.
5. Drag the block below the **Buy buttons** block.
6. Click **Save**.

The button appears under the buy buttons on every page using that template.
Repeat steps 3 to 6 for any other product templates you use.

## How it works

- The button is neutral: it inherits your theme's font and text colour and uses
  a thin outline.
- Clicking it opens a small favorize.app window. The shopper signs in with
their own Favorize account (or creates one) and picks a list.
- Nothing is stored in your store. Sign-in and saving happen on favorize.app.
- Cart, checkout and orders are not touched.

## Troubleshooting

**I cannot find the block.** It is not in the editor's main Apps list. Open
the **Product information** section of the product template, click
**Add block** inside that section and look under **Apps**. App blocks require
an Online Store 2.0 theme.

**The button is missing on some products.** Those products use a different
template. Add the block to that template too.

**Nothing happens on click.** The button opens a popup. Allow popups for your
store's address and try again.

## Privacy

The app requests only the `read_products` permission and stores no shop or
customer data. The product name, price, image and page URL are sent to
favorize.app only when a shopper clicks the button. The shopper's wishlist
lives in their own Favorize account. Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks
(customer data request, customer erasure, shop erasure) are acknowledged; as
no shop or customer data is kept, there is nothing to export or delete.

## Uninstall

Shopify admin → **Settings → Apps and sales channels** → Favorize Wishlist →
**Uninstall**. The app block is removed from your theme automatically.
Wishlists shoppers already saved remain in their Favorize accounts.
